Fascination for design - and the story behind the appearance

The fascination for Design accompanies Christian Bunse his whole life. At the beginning it was an attraction for sketching and most of all the shape of perfect styled cars, that drummed up interest for designing objects and released the pulse to start an academic education and a career in this field.

During the studies of industrial design at University of Wuppertal he discovered the specific attraction and nevertheless the formidable challenge of designing technological driven, functional products in the field of investment goods.

To bring inconsistent requirements down to a common denominator

Christian Bunse

The challenge of fulfilling seemingly inconsistent requirements encourages Christian Bunse specifically. How to overcome those provocations he learned  and perfected as an employee in a design office that was specialized in the field of investment goods. To pool prospects and visualize them, to incorporate all who are involved in a development process – this is the key to success for the industrial designer.

The Design office Bunse05 has the same credo and was founded by Christian Bunse in the year 2005 in the westphalian city of Hagen. „To make compromises is the defining quality, when you have to combine and pool different requests to a concept with a great persuasive power. „The experience shows, that as an external consultant l am able to provide this quality, we come to an agreement, we develop in the same direction“ says Christian Bunse.

focussing recall value and the identification of the manufacturer

Every time again it makes him proud to create something out of hazy presettings, that was not predicted. With empathy and creativity the visionary concept finally becomes reality. To uncover a recall value and the identification of the manufacturer is the essential point here.

It is basically to feel responsibility for the whole developing process. „ So it is successful in the end putting things in the right context, making sensitive formal changes and giving products some real added value“ says the passionate industrial designer.

Sincerity and flexibility - the courage to learn continuously

To be open minded for changes to refine the output of creative processes is natural for Christian Bunse. Learning from customer feedback and accepting different perceptions is a good sign of self assurance. Furthermore flexibility and a quick reaction time next to creative competence are characteristic features for bunse05.

Very soon the outcome of a creative process is in the true sense of the word „comprehensible“. Especially as a consequence of an approved cooperation with aixprojects. In prototyping as well as in batch fabrication. Customers world wide benefit from practically orientated solutions.

„Everything is communication“: This guideline characterizes each field of activity at bunse05. In Product Design, in CI Support and in HMI Design it applies uniformly, that every exterior design tells a story. Bringing that story to a successful end is the challenge and fascination for Christian Bunse.

Formal aspects of the UL3000 Fab

The challenge for the formal concept of the UL3000 Fab was the balance between good maneuverability in limited spaces, better ergonomics with a higher position of the worktop in comparison to the previous model, and making this slim and high silhouette stable.
